Dear customers,

After over 50 years serving model railroaders in Eastern Ontario and around the world, I have decided to retire from Lark Spur Line.

I have been in the model train business since the early 1970s, beginning my career as an authorized Canadian sales representative for Walthers. Lark Spur Line Ltd began in 1978 as a mail order operation and one of the first Canadian dealers for Walthers. The business soon expanded to a physical storefront outside of Merrickville, and moved to its current location at the Lark Spur Lane Mall in 1993.

I am proud of what Pat and I accomplished in building this business, and grateful for the loyal support of our customers along the way. Through the years, we have expanded our offerings and built relationships with suppliers to help meet the needs of any model railroader. Lark Spur Line's reputation and product knowledge also allow our staff to stock a wide range of previously owned items at fair prices.

It is my intent to find a new owner for Lark Spur Line who can guide the business forward and continue serving modelers for decades to come. Our hobby is alive and well, and I am encouraged that our store staff continue to greet new customers each week.

With this goal in mind, the store has been listed for sale at Realtor.ca, MLS number X11958212. I encourage interested parties to review the listing and seek more information if Lark Spur Line might be a good fit for you. In the meantime, our dedicated team members will continue to provide excellent service in store, online and by phone.

As a final reflection, I want to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has shopped at or supported Lark Spur Line over our 47 years of operation. It is my hope that the store will continue to serve all who enjoy our hobby for the next 47 years and beyond.
